I saw my first motorized cooler at a college women's softball game. You can imagine my surprise when I looked over my shoulder to talk to a friend and "low and behold" there's a person sitting on top their beverage cooler motoring down the sidewalk. I wanted to see this scooter so I stopped the driver and asked if I can take a look. She said, "sure" and I was quite surprised how well equipped the coolers are. Have you ever seen one?
My curiosity got the best of me and I did a bit of research on the Internet and found the "Cruzin cooler scooters". That brand is apparently one of the most popular motorized coolers on the market. Their web site has 2 different types of scooters: 50 series and Coolagon. The Coolagon comes with tow bar, pneumatic tires, aluminum rims, ball bearing wheels, foot pegs, extendable handle, trailer hitch, removal lid, drink holder, steel inner frame, supports up to 300 pounds and can have a seat and seat back. Here's their price range:
1. 50-300XE- $400
2. 50-750XE- $750
3. 50-500XE- $500
The coolers are beverage coolers that have been turned into functional scooters. A section of the inside is utilized for a battery and the motor, and the cooler is outfitted with wheels and a handle for steering. These coolers have started out as a novelty item, but have been gaining popularity in the past few years.
These motorized coolers usually come in electric or gas models and the gas ones can go up to 30 miles before needing a tank refill. They are very maneuverable and are great for sporting events, camping, fishing, and anywhere else that beverages need to be transported.
Since these are vehicles, there may be certain legal limitations depending on the individual state. Many places will categorize these as a scooter and this would then require it to be licensed and insured. Other places go further to define what a scooter is, and the motorized coolers would not fall under this definition. For non licensed scooters, people are often only allowed to operate these machines on private property. Riding motorized coolers on city sidewalks may even be illegal. The cooler can be great fun, but getting a ticket from the police can certainly put a damper on things. Before purchasing and riding one of these unique vehicles, it is best to check with state and local law enforcement or the Department of Motor Vehicles to see whether on not it can be ridden on the street or sidewalks.
The motorized cooler is a party on wheels. Shop and compare and have a wonderful time being the first in your neighborhood to own your "party" scooter cooler.

Sandra Tiffany saw a Motorized Scooter while at a women's softball game. She was so intrigued that she had to write about motorized coolers, their prices on eBay and Amazon as well as various articles about the motorized scooters, coleman coolers, Vespa scooters, and even Razor Scooters. Don't forget to shop the "deal of the day" and look for the best price to purchase your motorized cooler.
